OAO Oil Company LUKOIL (LUKOIL) is the leader of the Russian oil industry in exploration, production, refining and marketing of petroleum products. LUKOIL lubricants controls the manufacture of more than 40% of all lubricants produced in Russia, amounting to around 1.2 million tones, and markets these products in more than 20 countries across the globe.
LUKOIL acquired Getty Petroleum Marketing in 2000. Getty serves retail customers through approximately 1,300 gasoline stations located in 13 Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Getty is also a marketer of heating oil in New York Mid-Hudson Valley and is a wholesale distributor of a variety of petroleum products through its East Coast petroleum storage and distribution network.
The Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) is an independent resource for information and insights on the quality of lubricants in the marketplace. Our mission is to serve the consumer of lubricants by randomly sampling and independently testing lubricants taken from the field. Test results are posted along with the brand names on the PQIA website. This webpage provides an analysis on the brand detailed below.
