Test Results and Assessment:

The label on the product tested does not comply with the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA), or the Uniform Packaging and Labeling Regulations, each of which require the product label to include a declaration of responsibility (name and address of manufacturer, packer, or distributor) of the product.

Although the front label on this product states "PREMIUM" and the back label states "May be used in American, German, and Japanese automobiles," the results of the tests conducted on this sample show a product that DOES NOT meet any recognized specification of Automatic Transmission Fluid. If compared to the most commonly used Automatic Transmission Fluid (Dexron® III/Mercon®), the Brookfield Viscosity is 45 times higher than the maximum, and the Viscosity at 100⁰C is 22% lower than the minimum specified. In addition, the Flash Point is lower than required for Dexron® III and Mercon® fluids. Furthermore, the organometallic additive levels in this sample indicate the product may be contaminated with used oil and abrasive material.

Use of this product in virtually any automobile currently on the road will likely cause harm to the transmission.
