Test Results and Assessment:

Advisory: The results of the test conducted on this sample DO NOT meet the specifications of a Type A Automatic Transmission Fluid. The Viscosity at 100⁰C is 14% lower than the minimum specified for a Type A Automatic Transmission Fluid and the Viscosity Index is 32% lower than required.

A Type A Automatic Transmission Fluid is obsolete and not suitable for use in automatic transmissions manufactured after 1957. The label on this product does not provide any warning to consumers about this limited use.

Note: The Brookfield Viscosity @ -40°C result could not be determined due to the sample freezing.

Note1: Although laboratory tests alone cannot be used to establish if engine oil meets an API Service Category, they can be used to determine if it doesn't. Note2: The specifications for flash point and viscosity index include only minimum values; the maximum values shown in the “standard” area of the chart are truncated for illustrative purposes.
