Test Results and Assessment:

Use of this product in virtually all automobiles currently on the road will likely cause harm to the transmission.

Q Motor Oil® ATF
Q Motor Oil® is a Registered Mark of Conatus Oil & Gas, Inc

Whereas this product is labeled as "USEFUL IN A VARIETY OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS," and "a general purpose automatic transmission fluid capable of being used in a wide range of automatic transmissions," the results of the tests conducted on this sample shows otherwise. The product DOES NOT meet any recognized specifications for Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) and would likely not meet the requirements for any cars currently on the road. Moreover, the test results on the sample indicate that use of this product in virtually any car or truck currently on the road will likely cause harm to the transmission.

Although the product does not claim to meet any ATF specifications, if compared to those of DEXRON®-III and MERCON®  (commonly seen in the market), the Viscosity at 100⁰C is 25% lower than the minimum specified. In addition, the Brookfield Viscosity @ -40°C result could not be determined due to the sample thickening. Furthermore, the spectrographic analysis of the sample shows silicon, copper, aluminum, and iron at levels that indicate the product may be contaminated with used oil and abrasive material.

The label on this product does not show the name or address of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. This information is required to comply with the Uniform Packaging and Labeling Regulations in NIST Handbook 130 which states "Any package kept, offered, or exposed for sale, or sold at any place other than on the premises where packed shall specify conspicuously on the label of the package the name and address of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. The name shall be the actual corporate name, or, when not incorporated, the name under which the business is conducted.  The address shall include street address, city, state (or country if outside the United States), and ZIP Code (or the mailing code, if any, used in countries other than the United States); however, the street address may be omitted if it is listed in any readily accessible, well-known, widely published, and publicly available resource, including but not limited to a printed directory, electronic database, or website."
