Test Results and Assessment:

Advisory: Whereas the SuperS Multi-Purpose D/M ATF label states that the product "is suitable for use in all vehicles that recommend DEXRON® -III(H), DEXRON® -III, DEXRON® -IIE, Type A Suffix A or MERCON® performance levels," the results of the tests conducted for this sample do not meet the DEXRON®-III and MERCON® requirements for Brookfield viscosity at -40ºC, or the Brookfield viscosity requirements for most automatic transmissions currently on the road. A high Brookfield viscosity can compromise transmission performance at low ambient temperatures. Click for Viscosity Specifications

Further, although the label sates the product is “Multi-Purpose,” it is important for consumers to know that fluids meeting MERCON® and DEXRON®-III have not been specified for use since 1997 and 2005, respectively. The label on this product does not provide consumers with adequate information about its limited use.
